Skora ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Skora mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Skin Profile Data: When you complete the onboarding quiz, we collect your age range, gender, skin type, top skin concern, and ingredient sensitivities. This data is used exclusively to personalize your product analysis results.

Product & Shelf Data: Products you add to your shelf, including names, brands, ingredients, and scan results, are stored to provide the shelf management and conflict detection features.

Anonymous Identifier: We use Supabase anonymous authentication to create a device-linked identifier. We do not require your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information to use the free tier of Skora.

Usage Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymized usage data such as which features you use, how often you scan products, and general app engagement metrics. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

2. How We Use AI

Skora uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze product ingredients against your skin profile. When you scan or search for a product:

• Your skin profile data (skin type, concerns, sensitivities) is sent to the AI along with the product's ingredient list.
• The AI generates a personalized compatibility score, plain-English ingredient explanations, and conflict warnings.
• Ingredient data is not stored by the AI service after the analysis is complete.
• We do not use your data to train AI models.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with Row-Level Security enabled, meaning only your authenticated session can access your data. Product data is stored locally on your device via AsyncStorage as a backup for offline access.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Database and authentication
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI-powered ingredient analysis
• Open Beauty Facts — Product and ingredient database (public, open-source)
• PostHog — Anonymized usage analytics
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• Superwall — Paywall presentation and A/B testing

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide Skora's features.

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your data at any time via Settings → "Delete my account". This permanently removes all your data from our servers.
• Export your data by contacting us at privacy@tryskora.com.
• Retake your quiz to update your skin profile at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

Skora is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Medical Disclaimer

Skora is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Our ingredient analysis is for informational purposes only. Always consult a dermatologist or healthcare provider for medical skin conditions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.
